The project comprises part demolition and temporary weathering of the existing Odlums building, and construction of a 9 nr. storey apartment building at Kennedy Quay, next to the River Lee.
The building contains 103 nr. residential units comprising 45 nr. one-bed, 42 nr. two-bed and 16 nr. three-bed apartments arranged around a landscaped communal courtyard. The units are designed to achieve contemporary energy and sustainability standards through hot water heat pump, electric radiators, MVHR systems and roof-mounted photovoltaic panels. The building also includes commercial accommodation at ground floor level together with resident amenities including bicycle storage, bin stores, plant rooms and rooftop terrace space.
The structure is founded on piled foundations with a reinforced concrete frame and includes two stair cores, two passenger lifts and integrated balcony provisions throughout.
